(AP) -- Activision Blizzard says its first-quarter net income and revenue grew, helped by strong demand for digital offerings such as downloadable content for the popular "Call of Duty" games.

Activision Blizzard Inc. said Monday that its was $503 million, or 42 cents per share. That's up 32 percent from $381 million, or 30 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue grew 11 percent to $1.45 billion.

Besides the latest "Call of Duty" and related , the online game "World of Warcraft" did well.

Adjusted earnings and revenue surpassed Wall Street's expectations. These factor in special items and changes in revenue from games with online components.

The outlook for the current quarter is below analysts' views, but the company is raising its guidance for the year.
