Microsoft on Thursday offered an early look at the next version of its Office productivity suite for Mac.

Users of Apple desktops and laptops can download new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. The new programs come after preview versions of Office apps for Google's Android, released in January, and last month's debut of early versions of Office apps for the also-in-preview Windows 10 operating system.

In a blog post, Microsoft said the new Mac versions come with features like an enhanced formula builder for Excel. A presentation feature for PowerPoint allows users to see their notes as their audience, viewing the presentation on a projected screen, sees only the finished product.

Microsoft said final versions of the software would be released "later this summer."
