Wireless broadband provider ICOA will provide customer Internet access for the Stop-and-Shop convenience store chain in the northeastern United States.

ICOA said the deal involves 360 stores operated by Stop-and-Shop in New England and in New York and New Jersey.

ICOA said in a news release Wednesday it would provide equipment, system monitoring and service for the WiFi hot spots that will start appearing in stores in the coming months.

Stop-and-Shop tested the ICOA system this year in the waiting room of its corporate headquarters.
