Obama: Power plant rule will shrink power prices

President Barack Obama says Americans' electricity bills will shrink and their children will be healthier due to new emissions limits on power plants.

Obama is promoting his administration's climate change plan during a conference call hosted by the American Lung Association.

Obama says critics will contend the plan will kill jobs and crush the economy. But he says every time those claims are made, they're debunked.

Obama says his plan provides a huge incentive for states to become more efficient and to boost solar, wind, hydro and other clean sources of energy.

The plan aims to curb from by 30 percent by 2030.
