Google paid tribute to US dance pioneer Martha Graham on Wednesday by transforming the celebrated logo on its homepage into a dancing animation.

Instead of the usual colorful logo, the Internet search giant's homepage features an animated dancer who spells out the word "" in a series of elegant dance moves made famous by Graham.

Graham, founder of the Martha Graham Dance Company, was born on May 11, 1894 and died on April 1, 1991.
