Britain for allowing transmitters for MP3s
Britain is considering legalizing the use of low-power FM transmitters for MP3 players.
Currently, the transmitters are not allowed in the country or in Europe due to the possibility of interference with broadcast services.
But Britain's Office of Communications said that there is growing consumer demand for the transmitters to be used for MP3 players, and it is pushing the European Union to develop a harmonized approach to their use by late autumn.
