Americans favor Obama to defend against space aliens: poll

Jun 27, 2012

Nearly two in three Americans think President Barack Obama is better suited than Republican rival Mitt Romney to deal with an alien invasion, according to a survey released Wednesday.

National Geographic Channel contacted 1,114 adults across the United States last month for its fanciful opinion poll ahead of its new documentary series "Chasing UFOs."

Thirty-six percent of said they were certain that unidentified flying objects exist. Eleven percent were confident they had spotted a UFO, and 20 percent said they knew someone who claimed to have seen one.

With Obama facing re-election in November, 65 percent said Obama would be more adept than Romney to respond to an alien invasion, with women and younger Americans more likely than men and over-65s to agree with that prospect.

National Geographic Channel said the results of the and online "Aliens Among Us" survey dovetailed with the research underpinning "Chasing UFOs" which premieres Friday with Texas and Colorado residents describing their encounters with mysterious flying objects.

The poll had a margin of error of 2.9 percent.

A trash poll. Do serious Americans chose a president on such a non-criteria?

OK, let Obama spend his time chasing unidentified aliens. He can do a better job doing that than at managing the country.

Let Romney have that job from this fall.

That is false. Private and public schools never teach that monsters exist or they would be teaching the kids to fear Liberal/Socialists.
That poll was also reported on DrudgeReport.com, which is one of the best sources for credible news. But the point is that about 65% of those who were polled actually believe that Obama would be best at handling the arrival of space aliens...which would be quite a feat since Obama can't even handle Illegal immigrants from Mexico. But I digress.
Whether space aliens are here already or are preparing an invasion, it can't be much worse than a house being invaded by ants or cockroaches. At least, the aliens won't be hiding under the sink.

It's the internet dude.

I know people can't take a joke around here, but I'm gonna try anyway: If the aliens did start an invasion, and the war lasted more than a couple years, who would be more likely to withdraw US forces before the war is over? And, would anti-war anti-nuke liberals still feel that way if an army of Grays came marching down Hollywoood Blvd? Okay, to be fair: If Romney was president, would he try to beat the aliens by buying them out and making them go bankrupt? Oooo, an alien race? Can we outsource all of our good jobs to their planet in stead of India and the Phillippines? The Wallstreet conservatives would call that "creating new market opportunities", wouldn't they?

No. There's nothing in the Bible that says it is the complete history of everything God did. It's the story of where we came from, but it doesn't preclude God from having created other worlds too. You could say He could have created Them in His image too, and created animals and plants for them too, and given them their own Bible and their own Adam and Eve. There's always a way for a belief structure based entirely on faith to avoid conflicting with observed facts, no matter what they are.

The reasons for the poll results are easy to see.

A president Romney would decide there was far greater profit in selling his fellow humans to the alien than there was in defending the planet.

When announcing such a decision his supporters would believe they were exempt only to discover that they were the first to be offered up just like soldiers in Iraq overwhelmingly were from demographics that supported Bush.

As to why he'd do this, it would be because it maximized profit.

Romney opponents would fight tooth and nail. Rounding them up would cost lots of money.

Whereas the Romney supporters would blindly follow his summons due to superficial patriotic blandishments.

And as for Romney to him it really didn't matter, because the only people he feels are like him are those that are born wealthy or are wealthy. All the rest are to be bought and sold as he and his ilk see fit. If they happen to support his agenda, then they'll prove it by doing as he asks without question LOL

I hate to break the news to you, Jonseer, but it's impossible for Romney to be as bad in any way, shape or form as Obama. 4 more years of Obama will bring everyone to the brink of poverty. Oh, except for his filthy rich Liberal/Socialist friends in the movie and TV industry, his rich union and Wall Street friends who also give him oodles of cash for his campaign fund because they all expect that he will meet his obligations to them with kickbacks out of taxpayer money.
Oh yes...for all the talking that Obama does about jobs and all that, his great desire is to turn the U.S. into one great big slum, from coast to coast, border to border...and he will, of course, be the GREAT SLUMLORD. Throw all this great money to the Teachers' Unions....and Johnny STILL can't read !!

Obama would divert the aliens to Arizona and then refuse to answer Arizona's phone calls. He would then instruct Eric holder to start a program to determine how the aliens are getting guns. Ads would start to appear telling the aliens how their lives could be improved by food stamps.

Romney would solicit the aliens for seed money to build spacecraft at great profit in Arizona. Then he would determine that the venture was not profitable enough, lay off the aliens, and sell the technology. He would ignore Arizona's phone calls while he transferred the money to offshore accounts.

Either way, Arizona is screwed, so they decide to grant amnesty to the aliens. The aliens are grateful and set up a universal health care system that actually works. Obama and Romney fight each other to take credit claiming that the alien health care system is an offshoot of their programs. Alien health care death panels decide that Obama and Romney aren't worth saving.

It is a "tongue-in-cheek" poll and not really politically motivated in the true sense, but the name Obama IS political...thus the inclusion of Vendicar's "American private schools - Loch Ness monster - evolution - Capitalism" semi-political comment must meet with your approval. Technically speaking, Mr. Bush did the very same in Iraq, he even claimed their weapons of mass destruction during this... The people simply need some enemy, or they could lose their faith into usefulness of their government and military expenses - which would be an unhealthy if not undesirable trait. Mr. Obama supports Muslim world, so he seeks for enemies in extraterrestrial space - which I personally consider rather "farseeing" approach.

There's the strong possibility that government agencies know something that we don't..about space aliens coming to earth or have been here already. Perhaps those stories about Aldrin and Armstrong seeing strange spacecraft-like objects on the moon and being told to never go back to the moon again, may have been true, even though they now deny it. I think it's kinda strange that the U.S. gave up on its Apollo moon program kind of suddenly. It just doesn't add up...and we were doing fine back then. I think that NASA took the warning literally, and are letting the Chinese find out.
PussyCat_Eyes
1.7 / 5 (6) Jul 01, 2012
In fact, since we don't seem to have plans to go back to the moon any time soon, why not give that technology that we used back in 1969 and later, to the Chinese scientists so that they can go to the moon directly instead of going through the rigmarole of building a "space station".
If there was truly a warning to stay away from the moon, it can then be the Chinese who will determine who or what is up there. Of course, a few of them may DIE as a result, but that's science.

Wait - I know - use their IPBMs intended to bombard earth cities and send them instead against western landers. Those nukes and support facilities which would cost $trillions to cart up to the moon and support, which you fear.

Or they could just put cannons on rovers. Sounds scary eh? Funny - we're here on earth, theyre here on earth, no shots fired with all this weaponry and daily interaction. We get to the moon and suddenly war breaks out. How does that work you lameass?

But as you seem to be a compulsive liar, even when it is EASY to disprove your lies, we can safely assume that you are the continuing trainwreck pirouette/ritchieguy/russkiyecreampuff/pussygalore. Because this is what the evidence tells us. Just like science.

You are self centered and way too sensitive. Buck up buttercup.
Naw you are misreading this freak. They are deliberately posting contentious bullshit to get a rise out of people. Every time you respond, the freak gets a thrill. Some life eh?

Yeah. And since no nurse would ever make this mistake we now have proof that the lying dimwit pussy/pirouette/ritchieguy/russkiye is no RN. Wow.' - GhostofBlotto

Blotto is nuttier than a fruitcake, that's for sure.
As a Registered Nurse, I am trained to understand these concepts, which proves that ziphead's sole intent was to hassle me in the above link because I'm a trained professional. And Blotto jumps right in there with his insane accusations again. Could be he will die someday with those names on his ugly fish lips.

Blotto also quotes me quoting Russkiy the Russian whom I only spoke to ONCE. Those were NOT my ideas. Those ideas were Russkiy's and I'm not him.

So what liar? They are probably not his ideas either. But since you (or your boyfriend, whatever) ARE him, then they ARE your ideas.

At any rate you took ownership of them when you repeated them and agreed with them. Denying this is a LIE. You think you can come here and LIE and treat this site like a chatroom, and you think people wont have a problem with this?

Every shit post you drop here will be addressed. Guaranteed.
