In Brief: F-Secure wins India Exatt security deal

Finland's F-Secure will work with India's Exatt Technologies to develop data security services for broadband.

Mumbai-based Exatt's 80,000 subscribers will be able to access F-Secure's security service. The Finnish company specializes in protecting clients against computer viruses and other threats from Internet and mobile networks, while Exatt provides broadband connectivity in partnership with local cable operators.

The XSECURE network will protect users from viruses, outside attacks, harmful content and spam, F-Secure said.

"Entering into cooperation with Exatt supports our plan to deepen our footprint on Indian soil and offer ordinary Indian subscribers the possibility to surf the Internet securely and affordably. We are delighted to be doing business with Exatt and celebrate their choice to secure the Internet in a new and innovative manner," Jari Heinonen, Asia regional sales director of F-Secure, said in a news release.
