Briefs: France Telecom sells shares in Centertel

France Telecom said Thursday it will sell its 34-percent stake in Centertel to Telekomunikacja Polska.

Centertel is the second-largest mobile-phone operator in Poland, with over 9 million subscribers, or about 34 percent of the market share. It is a joint subsidiary between France Telecom and Telekomunikacja Polska.

Following the transaction, TP will have 100 percent of shares in Centertel, but France Telecom will have a controlling 47.5-percent stake in TP itself.
