Report sees bright future for mobile TV

A U.S. research firm says mobile television is poised for a commercial breakout as consumers find the technology to be user friendly.

Unstrung Insider reports that the introduction of mobile TV over 3G and satellite broadcast networks has appealed to consumers who have pushed session numbers up to more than 1 million per month for some operators.

Gabriel Brown, author of the new Unstrung Insider report, said, "The power is simplicity: Everyone knows how to watch TV."

Mobile TV is currently offered by some major communications companies, including Vodafone, Orange and SK Telecom.
