Briefs: Deutsche Telekom sees growth in 2006

Deutsche Telekom Wednesday said its revenue for the first nine months of the year rose 3.6 percent from a year ago.

The German telecommunications giant said for the full year it expects revenue to reach between $24.39 billion and $24.74 billion (20.7 billion and 21 billion euros).

"Our intention is to make Deutsche Telekom strong for the future. And that means anticipating the future. For that reason, we will concentrate in the next two years on expanding our business activities and focusing far more on increasing our revenue. We will invest more in the market in 2006 -- primarily in new products and in our customer base," said Deutsche Telekom Chairman Kai-Uwe Ricke.
