Briefs: Motorola offers securer mobile connection

Motorola launched Monday a service to provide greater security in mobile connection.

The multi-net mobility is based on standard mobile Internet protocol and provides encryption for text, image and video applications that operate on public and private networks, the company said.

"Multi-Net Mobility addresses the need to send and receive actionable, real-time information remotely," Nick Rendone, vice president of Motorola's data solutions operation, said in a news release. "You see a truly mobile worker emerge -- with anytime, anywhere high-speed wireless connectivity and immediate access to mission critical applications on either public or private networks," he added.
