Hewlett Packard Monday introduced its latest iPAQ handheld wireless device, which included a new "push" e-mail feature developed by Microsoft.

The iPAQ hw6900 Mobile Messenger is equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0 that allows users to receive new e-mail and other messages without the need for middleware expenses.

Push e-mail is considered a more efficient method of moving messages since it is "pushed" out by the server rather than being pulled down by the receiving device.

The device also has four integrated radios that provide Bluetooth, global positioning system and WiFi capabilities on a global basis.

Executives from HP and Microsoft hailed the hw6900 in a news release as an all-in-one gadget that will allow busy professionals to accomplish more than ever while on the go.
