Briefs: Motorola network tops Yankee report

Motorola's communications server was ranked the best in delivering fully integrated communications networks by researchers the Yankee Group.

The Boston-based group's senior analyst Brian Partridge said that "Motorola's ranking in this study reflects its holistic approach, which includes a comprehensive communications server line of products, an extensive portfolio of professional services, leadership within industry consortia and commitment to a strong ecosystem."

Customers "are looking to us to provide communications servers that help them reduce the number of computing platforms supporting their product offerings. With Motorola's open communications servers, our professional services teams can leverage the industry ecosystem to integrate and deliver application-specific servers that enable our customers to have the best available time-to-market for their Applications," said Wendy Vittori, general manager of Motorola's embedded communications computing.
