A Progress M-57 space freighter will be launched to the International Space Station on the back of a Soyuz-U rocket on June 24, 2006, RIA Novosti reported Tuesday.

The spaceship will deliver fuel, consumables, scientific and research equipment, foodstuffs and water for the crew of the 13th ISS expedition, which comprises Russia's Pavel Vinogradov and American Jeff Williams.

The agency said the space truck would be launched from the Baikonur space center, which Russia leases from the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.

Pavel Vinogradov and Jeffrey Williams began their mission on board the world's sole civilian orbital station on April 1.
