In Brief: Motorola, Incognito in VTR GlobalCom deal

Motorola and Incognito Software will work together to provide an Internet and multimedia management system for Chile's VTR GlobalCom.

VTR is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Latin America and the sole company in the region that bundles cable TV, telephony and the Internet through a single technology platform.

Incognito, meanwhile, specializes in providing automated Internet Protocol address and domain management. The company will help VTR meet its growing request for Voice over Internet Protocol and Internet services via Motorola.

"By integrating this end-to-end system including the Incognito solution, Motorola enables VTR to streamline the ordering and provisioning process -- so customers can more readily order and begin enjoying digital video, voice and data services," G. Bickley Remmey, Motorola corporate vice president and general manager for Latin America, said in a news release. "With the proven Motorola video foundation in place, VTR can now offer its subscribers new interactive and digital services," he added.
