Briefs: EU calls for tenders in radio frequency ID

The European Union Tuesday called for tenders to help radio frequency identification.

In a news release, the EU said that the work will involve the preparation, implementation and follow-up of five workshops for the initiative.

In addition, the EU will be seeking consulting groups to help in participant management, following up on contributions, Web hosting and other issues that will come up in preparing for radio frequency identification among member countries.
