The Triassic marks the early radiation of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and marine reptiles, as well as the emergence of modern-style coral reefs and key evolutionary lineages among ammonoids and early mammals, setting the biotic framework for subsequent Mesozoic ecosystems.
