ISS crew to talk with high school students
NASA will celebrate International Education Week by arranging for International Space Station crewmembers to speak with Virginia high school students.
Astronauts William McArthur Jr. and Valery Tokarev will speak to students at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria during a live televised program next Tuesday.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration Deputy Administrator Shana Dale and U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings will also participate in the live downlink, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST and will be broadcast by NASA-TV.
International Education Week, Nov. 14-18, is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of Education and State.
