NTT Communications network partially down

Mobile carrier NTT Communications said Thursday about 35,000 circuit lines were unusable due to a problem in its facility in Osaka.

The problem occurred Wednesday evening, and over 200 subscribers have already called to complain, the company said in a statement. The company added that it still cannot foresee when services can be resumed.

Affected areas include Wakayama and Nara prefectures in western Japan.
