Briefs: T-Mobile, Teleglobe join on roam transport

T-Mobile will be running its international roaming traffic through Teleglobe International's Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) network.

Teleglobe said from Bermuda Wednesday that it had reached an agreement to hook T-Mobile directly into its SS& network for SCCP coverage, which reaches more than 400 mobile operators and spans 225 countries.

The service allows short messaging services along with inter-network connectivity. In addition, Teleglobe said it supplies a high degree of revenue assurances from international calls as well as cost-saving features.

Teleglobe's SCCP service provides transport and Global Title Translation (GTT) based on four different numbering plan formats.
