Soyuz spacecraft to be moved on ISS

The crew of the International Space Station will take a spin around the block in their Soyuz spacecraft on Friday.

Expedition 12 Soyuz Commander Valery Tokarev and station Commander Bill McArthur will move the craft from the Pirs Docking Compartment to the nearby Zarya module.

NASA said Tokarev will undock from Pirs about 3:40 a.m. EST. It will take about 40 minutes to complete the trip and dock at the Zarya port. The move clears Pirs for a spacewalk in early December.

NASA TV will provide live coverage of the move starting at 3 a.m. EST Friday.
