On 15 February the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO launched a record number of satellites into space simultaneously. It was the first time that many satellites were launched at the same time. A world record. 101 of the satellites were manifested by TU Delft spin-off company ISISpace. The satellites will be tracked and controlled from the joint ground stations of the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, the faculty of Aerospace Engineering and ISISpace in Delft.

The three parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding recently concerning the joint research, development and utilization of a distributed ground station network for small satellites in the Delft.  Voor staff and students at Aerospace Engineering this collaboration means they have improved  access to professionally maintained facilities, their research can contribute to innovations for the ground stations and that they can collaborate with the industry better.
