Phosphate

A phosphate, an inorganic chemical, is a salt of phosphoric acid. In organic chemistry, a phosphate, or organophosphate, is an ester of phosphoric acid. At elevated temperatures in the solid state, phosphates can condense to form pyrophosphates.
