NBA box scores go high-tech with video links to statsNovember 25, 2013 in Technology / Internet
The NBA unveiled groundbreaking video box scores Monday that will make the league the first in American pro sports to link video highlights to box score statistics on the league website.
The innovative video integration move will include all games for the current season as well as last season and provide video within team and player pages, play-by-play sections, shooting charts and other statistical areas where only text and numbers ruled before.
Video will be added to league website statistics area shortly after the end of NBA games and feature views of specific plays associated with a specific statistic in a box score, including baskets, shots, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks and free throws.
