Astronauts get Sunday morning off after busy week
(AP) -- The astronauts aboard the orbiting station-shuttle complex are finally getting a break.
NASA is giving the 10 space travelers Sunday morning off. The astronauts wrapped up the second spacewalk of their joint mission Saturday. They accidentally inserted a pin upside down, however, and jammed an equipment storage platform on the outside of the international space station.
A team at NASA is trying to determine whether the crew could pry or hammer loose the pin. If so, it will be attempted Monday during the third and final spacewalk of shuttle Discovery's mission.
One item on Sunday afternoon's agenda is a full-up test of the urine processor that was delivered by Discovery. It's a critical part of the space station's new water-recycling system.
