Briefs: eBay sees iPod, digital camera sales soar

eBay said Monday iPod Nanos and digital cameras are some of the hottest gifts this holiday season.

The online auction house said that sales of the small MP3 players from Apple and point-and-shoot digital cameras were particular popular the weekend after Thanksgiving, which is usually the busiest shopping period of the year.

The company said sales of new, black iPod nanos rose 161 percent from the previous week for an average sales price of $205. Meanwhile, demand for new Kodak 5.0 to 5.9 mega-pixel digital cameras rose 163 percent from a week ago for an average price of $254.
