Aladdin unveils multi-layer cell security

Aladdin Knowledge Systems Wednesday introduced its entry in the growing field of security applications to protect cell phones.

The eSafe Mobile Content Security Gateway screens out codes and viruses that pose a threat to the operating systems of increasingly complex wireless phones.

The system offers multi-layered protection against spyware, spam and other various intrusions that are seen in the market as potentially short-circuiting the growth of phone capabilities and content.

"By providing stellar security for their customers, cellular providers will stand out as organizations that employ the latest technologies that match the ever-evolving threats entering the mobile network," said Aladdin Vice President Shimon Gruper.

Gruper said the mobile content system is based in large part on the eSafe system that Aladdin markets to large business users.
