Globecomm Receives First Order For Its New Flyaway Terminal

Globecomm Systems announced Wednesday that the Company has received its first order for the new 1.2 meter Auto-Explorer Multimedia Transportable Satellite Communication Terminal ("flyaway terminal") from a government customer.

The flyaway terminal, which was specifically purchased by the customer for testing purposes, is Internet Protocol enabled.

Designed to allow operation by personnel with no satellite communication experience, the flyaway terminal is used in a number of applications, including logistics support and special operations.

David Hershberg, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Globecomm Systems said, "We are very excited to receive an initial order for Globecomm's new 1.2 meter flyaway terminal. The flyaway terminal was primarily designed for the government marketplace and we look forward to working with this customer and gaining market acceptance."
