CITyFiED will be co-organising TIMELESSCITY – the European Conference on Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Cities (1-2 March 2017, Valladolid, Spain) – a forum to gain comprehensive insights into the opportunities and challenges brought by the development of Smart Cities and Communities initiatives across Europe. An opportunity to review and understand which steps European city leaders, delegates, policy makers and other stakeholders should take to transform their cities into great and attractive places where to live and work and create a strong urban ecosystem. 

Attendees will also be able to discover the CITyFiED demonstration site Torrelago district with a detailed study tour visit alongside project partners.

The CITyFiED project aims to develop a replicable, systemic and integrated strategy to adapt European cities and urban ecosystems into the smart city of the future, focusing on reducing the energy demand and GHG emissions and increasing the use of renewable energy sources by developing and implementing innovative technologies and methodologies for building renovation, smart grid and district heating networks and their interfaces with ICTs and Mobility.
