Professor Federico Rosei elected ASM International Fellow

July 27th, 2015

Professor Federico Rosei of the INRS Centre Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications has been elected Fellow by ASM International, marking his outstanding research on the synthesis and characterization of multifunctional materials. By electing him as a Fellow, ASM International recognized not only the impact of his work but also his exceptional mentoring activities. It is the only Quebec researcher to receive this honor in 2015.

Holder of the UNESCO Chair on Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage (MATECSS), Professor Rosei studies the properties of nanostructured materials and has a wealth of experience in the synthesis, processing, and characterization of inorganic, organic, and biocompatible nanomaterials. His research has led to the development of new technologies in green energy, electronics, and the life sciences.

This is not the first time Professor Rosei has been singled out by ASM; he was also selected for the 2013-2014 ASM Canada Council Brian Ives Lectureship and previously in 2010 for the ASM India Visiting Lectureship.

Considered as an international leader in materials research, Professor Rosei will officially become an ASM International Fellow at the awards ceremony to be held at the Materials Science & Technology 2015 (MS&T15) conference in Columbus on October 6, 2015.

Kudos to Professor Rosei, winner of multiple awards in Canada and abroad!
