American Society for Microbiology to host 115th General Meeting in New Orleans

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) will hold its 115th General Meeting from May 30- June 2, 2015 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The meeting will feature approximately 3,000 individual scientific presentations spanning the breadth of microbiology and has an expected attendance of 8,000 people.

The meeting will feature a broad range of cutting-edge research in the microbial sciences including biomedicine, food safety and environmental factors, to name a few.

Among the topics to be presented are:

  • Recent Developments in Microbiome Research
  • Innate Immunity at the Host-Microbe Interface
  • Benefits and Risks of Fresher & More Natural Food Trends
  • Oceans Alive: Marine Microbes in Action
  • The International Space Station: A Built Environment for Microbial Research

Meeting registry is complimentary for reporters and an on-site press room will also be available.
