Every three years, the Oceans in a High Carbon Dioxide World symposium brings together the largest gathering of international experts on ocean acidification. The third symposium takes place in Monterey, California, 24-27 September.

About 500 experts on ocean acidification - one of the key emerging issues facing our planet - are expected to participate. The four-day symposium will highlight the latest research and discuss the political and economic implications.

We have an exciting agenda for journalists including daily press briefings, science-journalist ice-breakers, new data visualizations and high-profile special guest speakers on the final day, the High-Level Policy Day, which will also be linked to the Blue Ocean Film Festival taking place in Monterey at the same time.
