The University of Washington (UW) was founded in 1861 in the Seattle, Washington metro region. Despite its rocky beginnings, UW has emerged as a first rate science, medical center, climate and environmental center, technology center and superior research center in the Pacific Northwest. Astronomers: 'Tilt-a-worlds' could harbor life

A fluctuating tilt in a planet's orbit does not preclude the possibility of life, according to new research by astronomers at the University of Washington, Utah's Weber State University and NASA. In fact, sometimes it helps.
