Sun offers more financing options for biz
Sun Microsystems expanded Tuesday its financing and leasing service for corporate customers.
Sun Microsystems Global Financial Services will allow businesses to improve their networks in an affordable way, the company said.
"The expansion of our financing unit is part of Sun's plan to help reduce its customers' total cost of ownership, while making them increasingly competitive in their marketplace," Kris Snow, vice president of the service, said in a news release.
The system will allow "flexible financing plans that help customers manage (information technology) ownership risk and protect against technology obsolescence, while lowering total cost of acquisition and ownership," Sun said.
