In Brief: French, Scottish groups team on wireless

Two European technology groups have teamed up to work on the commercialization of wireless applications for the small and medium-sized business sectors.

Scotland's Wireless Innovation and the newly formed French organization PACA Mobile Center will provide access to technical support and marketing insight to commercial partners.

"Our goal is to help businesses understand market trends and technology challenges and to identify new routes to market," explained Iian Downey of Wireless Innovation. "By partnering with PMC we are hoping to bring new opportunities to our developer community and offer pragmatic solutions to the key challenges faced by this sector now and in the future."

The team will open up its development and test centers to its partners' projects and eventually expand their facilities.
