Briefs: iPods to have volume-limit setting

iPod nano

Apple updated its software to allow iPod nano users to set their own personal maximum volume limit.

The updated program, 1.1.1., is available as a free download for the nano and the fifth generation of iPods from www.apple.com/ipod/download.

"With the increased attention in this area, we want to offer customers an easy to use option to set their own personal volume limit," Greg Joswiak, vice president of worldwide iPod product marketing, said in a news release.
