(AP) -- It's safe to say Jeremy Snyder gets a charge out of the two-seat Tesla Roadster whenever he pulls one off the lot - and not because it's equipped with an all-electric engine.

First hell yeah tesla! $109K is a bit steep, and a 1000lb battery, wooooo! Didn't someone make a cheap compact electric that had totally insane acceleration a while back, a motor on each wheel, light battery etc?

Secondly... shut the f#ck up Neil. Everyone on this site hates you, including your dead grandma. Your 'company' is a joke, it's hosted by geocities, get your own domain to at least look half competent. Cancel your internet connection, or beg outside of the library you are using for the internet, take the money and buy a noose.

It's great. So is the $26,000 Aptera. We've got carbon-fiber-bodied electric cars and electricity generated on demand by large-scale parabolic-trough solar power plants (that balance load by storing energy as heat in molten salt)just starting just out the starting gate and accelerating, and not a minute too soon.

One minor complaint about electric cars, though: They're very quiet at low speeds, and pedestrians (not to mention kids playing) often don't hear them coming.

The Solar Constant is 1.35kW m^-2

Fossil fueled electric cars are point emitters of pollution - from the power plant.

Fossil fueled cars dilute their pollution.

Dilution is the solution to pollution. Nuclear power is secure power.

>It goes 225 miles on one charge and can be fully recharged in 3.5 hours

Doesn't sound to appealing. The crash could also be pretty nasty as lithium isn't particularly user friendly (not that gas is). Id love to test drive it though.

Wait they can power it with fuel cells instead of batteries.. waaay lighter = even faster. Far more efficient as well (less energy required for more miles). Or, they can further reinforce the structure of the car given the weight reduction.
