Food scientists say stop biofuels to fight world hunger

(AP) -- Some top international food scientists Tuesday recommended halting the use of food-based biofuels, such as ethanol, saying it would cut corn prices by 20 percent during a world food crisis.

Reduction in corn prices will only mean farmers plant less corn. Even this year they're planting less corn because other crops (soybeans) are more profitable. Be careful what you wish for.

OK...I wish for a society based upon Electric-only vehicles, that eats their food rather than burning it while people go hungry!
