Samsung launches world's first broadband LTE-A smartphone

Samsung Electronics today announced the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A, a new smartphone featuring an advanced multimedia experience and the fastest download, web browsing, multimedia streaming and application loading speeds. As the world's first, commercially available Broadband LTE-A (Cat.6) smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A combines the technological innovations of the flagship Galaxy S5 with new, advanced features and triple the network speeds to produce an unparalleled multimedia experience.

Samsung continuously adopts the most advanced LTE capabilities. In 2012, Samsung launched the Galaxy SII, the world's first LTE smartphone, followed by the Galaxy S4 LTE-A, the world's first LTE-A smartphone in 2013.

World's First Broadband LTE-A Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A is the first commercially available LTE Cat.6 network service smartphone in world. Equipped with a 2.5GHz Quad Core processor and 3GB RAM, Samsung's newest device allows users to experience the powerful performance that has come to represent Samsung's flagship devices. Additionally, the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A enables users to experience triple the connectivity speeds (225mbps) when downloading files, running apps and browsing the internet. With this innovative technology, users can enjoy uninterrupted high-resolution streaming of their favorite shows, as well as stronger and faster speeds when playing games or downloading a 10MB music video, taking as little as 0.4 seconds.

WQHD Super AMOLED Display

With its WQHD Super AMOLED display(2,156 x 1,440), the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A offers an amazing viewing experience with more colors and detail than even that of an HD display. Lastly, the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A comes equipped with the same innovative features of the Galaxy S5, such as a 16 megapixel camera with HDR, Auto Focus and Selective Focus as well as an IP67 rating as well as S-Health and a Heart Rate Monitor.

The Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A will be offered in Korea beginning this summer in charcoal Black, shimmer White, electric Blue, copper Gold, sweet Pink, and glam Red (Only for SKT).
