Report: Kodak gets patent bid from Apple, Google

Dec 10, 2012

Apple and Google, bitter rivals in smartphone technology, have joined up to make a combined bid for a bundle of patents offered by photography pioneer Kodak, according to a published report.

Bloomberg News reported Saturday that Apple Inc. and . have abandoned competing bids for the portfolio to offer a combined $500 million. The sum is the minimum Kodak can sell the patents for and still get an $830 million loan that's crucial to getting the company out of bankruptcy.

Apple and declined to comment on the report. A Kodak representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Kodak filed for in January after struggling to adapt to the world of digital photography.

Apple might help Kodak by allowing Kodak to tap into the best advice available from Apple executives.
Unfortunately for Kodak, it has for years become more complacent and less assertive, even in their advertising, compared to Japanese companies Canon and Nikon, for example. It is hard to find Kodak film for their older expensive cameras now and some Kodak film have been discontinued, so those older cameras are rendered now as an expensive doorstop. It was a fine American company. I hope it survives and reemerges successfully.

But this is how technological advance operates, did you not know this pussytard? They have digital cameras now which are cheaper and much better, and this makes film cameras obsolete.

This is why you are having so much trouble with your 486. The world has passed you and it by.

You can tell all that from 8 words? Wow you should work for the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit.

Only Noumenon makes such blatant attempts to connect people with such flimsy evidence. He does this to deflect criticism over his own shameful record here.

Funny, your posting increases when Noumenon's wanes. You also express your pussytard butthurt in much the same manner, e.g. "wahhh so and so voted me down" or "wahhhh [random poster] is frankherbert/otto/lite" or just "wahhhhh".

So? What's tech advances got to do with good old cameras that are still operational? Or, is it that you absolutely must have something to say of something you don't know anything about?
Oh...and...your pussytard isn't here. I haven't seen her in any of the threads. You're looking for a ghost, Ghost.

Yes...I've compared the speech patterns of both Blotto AND his sock puppet, FrankHerbutt...and they match in syntax, hostile language and the fact that both are in the same threads a little too often to be coincidence. We have been noticing their timing also for many years...even through Theghostofotto1923's many transformations into his other sock puppets. He has admitted to owning these sock puppets and using them, and it's evident that he's STILL making new ones AND using the old ones as well. Nobody else on physorg has the time to do such nonsense. But Blotto seems to have plenty of time for it.

Both FunkHerbert and Theghostofblotto1923 come out with things said by their friends like pirouette (mentioned before) and claim that I had said these things that I had no knowledge of b/c I had never said them. This shows that Theghostofotto1923 was looking for a scapegoat and has settled on me, TK, EST57, Tachy and probably many others, in his mental sickness.

Getting back to the original topic...I hope that Kodak can get out of bankruptcy and move on. But I wish they would afford a way for owners of older 35 mm like me to be able to use our cameras which are, in many ways, better than digital cameras. Back then, the 35mm film were superior in quality, color, etc.
