Personally, although I think that Iran still has a long way to go so far as nuclear tech goes, they now have the necessary ICBM tech that is a precursor to what they need to reach us.

I am all for them in harnessing nuclear power for peaceful purposes, but historically they have been worrisome in the region. So, on the other hand, I can see why people around them are worried and why it is that both Israel and the US are also concerned. Iran has stated that they want to wipe Israel off the map and wishes death to America on a pretty regular basis.

You don't get drafted into the Navy, so he must have flown other types of aircraft PRIOR to the F-14s being deployed during the Vietnam war. The war was still going on up until the fall of Saigon and people had to be airlifted out by helicopter, while the F-14s and other aircraft were in the process of protecting the evacuation.
