YouTube video playback pages get a new look

(AP) -- One of the most popular sites on the Web - YouTube - is getting a new look.

The video-sharing site owned by Inc. is revamping the pages on which visitors watch clips. It's an effort to de-clutter YouTube and drive people to watch more videos.

Starting late Wednesday, plans to roll out a reorganized version of its page that is more streamlined and focuses more on watching clips.

Changes include reducing the number of links that pepper playback pages, and moving the name of the video's submitter to just below the title.

The site is also doing away with its five-star video rating system, replacing it with a simpler option to "like" or "dislike" a video.
