Forecast Calls for 7 Hurricanes in '08

A recent study showed that the incidence of thunderstorm activity over east africa is directly tied to the amount of hurricane activity in the United states. Putting lightning rids up in Somalia might cause the thunder clods to be shorted out and to reduce the total amount of thunderstorm activity; lightning, high winds, etc and this might reduce the strength of hurricanes in the Unites States especially in the gulf region where Katrina flooded the entire city of New Orleans.
