Briefs: Infor picks BT for MPLS network support

British Telecom will provide Internet Protocol-based network services for Infor at 60 commercial sites in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Infor is an Atlanta-based software provider that primarily serves manufacturing and distribution companies and, according to BT, had been seeking a provider with worldwide reach, robust infrastructure and expertise in security.

BT will provide the Multi-Protocol Label Switching technology frequently used by large enterprises that require guaranteed bandwidth and enough capacity for services such as video conferencing.

Infor is involved largely in supply-chain and inventory-management solutions.
