Briefs: Vodafone completes Swedish unit sale

Britain's Vodafone said Thursday that it has completed the sale of its Swedish unit to Telenor.

Vodafone announced on Oct. 31 that it would be selling off Vodafone Sweden to the Norwegian phone network as it tried to focus on its key areas.

Telenor is one of the biggest carriers in Scandinavia. The deal will expand its subscriber base in Sweden by 1.5 million.
