Vodafone partners with Telekom Malaysia

Vodafone Wednesday signed a partnership agreement with Telekom Malaysia, including three of its subsidiaries.

Telekom Malaysia's Celcom, XL and Dialog will be providing their wireless subscribers with access to Vodafone's international voice and data roaming services.

Indonesia-based XL, Sri Lanka's Dialog and Malaysia's Celcom will also be introducing a number of Vodafone's business solutions to their respective markets.

The British mobile giant's products and services will be marketed under a dual brand in the three countries.

"This strategic relationship with TM significantly enhances our partner network presence in Asia, building on our existing relationships with M1 in Singapore and SmarTone in Hong Kong. This is helping improve our roaming footprint in the Asia Pacific region, providing our customers with a greatly enhanced service," Arun Sarin, chief executive at Vodafone, said in a news release.
